When was the last time you were listened to, I mean really listened to? Counselling provides a warm, safe and confidential space where for 50 minutes, the focus is completely on you.
Life isn’t easy; the past can haunt you, life as you know it can change in an instant, and feelings can get complicated and overwhelming. I would like to help you discover how these feelings can be managed, change for the better and how your mental health is worth the time and effort.
I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I work with young people and adults who are dealing with a wide range of issues that impact on their daily life.
I specialise in working with clients that have experienced forms of trauma, abuse and sexual violence at any point in their life. I also work with clients struggling with self-esteem, loss, identity issues, sexuality, anxiety, triggers and are experiencing family and relationship issues.
The foundations of my approach are based in the Person-Centred Model but I like to draw on other approaches such as the Trauma Model, attachment theories, CBT, T.A, Transpersonal, Gestalt, creative interventions and mindfulness so I can see what works best for you and the therapeutic relationship.
