Emma has been running her outdoor therapy groups for the past two years. She initially started her groups for individuals affected by a bereavement, loss and or tough life transitions.
Emma’s outdoor therapy groups and her one to one therapy sessions are held at Thorncombe Woods, Dorchester. Her circular walks follow the seasonal transitions of this beautiful woodland space. Emma’s sessions include therapeutic creative, mindful and shinrin yoku interventions, supporting individuals to safely identify and express their feelings within this outdoor woodland space.

Shinrin Yoku (Forest bathing) is proven to support physical, mental and spiritual healing, by connecting to our senses; sight, smell, touch, and listening. Over the past two years, Emma has been supported by Stepping into nature, and being amongst nature whether this is within the woodland, at the beach or in the garden, is at the heart of Emma’s own self-care.
“I cannot recommend Emma and the self care stomps that I do with her enough. Doing this has really helped me to focus and take time for me. Meeting new lovely people is an added bonus. Working on how to take care of ourselves and just being in nature is priceless. Thank you Emma for bringing me some sparkle”
“Emma and everything about her self-care work is amazing. I’ve already recommended her to heaps of people and would again. She’s in the vanguard of improving mental and emotional health across generations and words are a poor canvas upon which to paint the efficacy of her work”
